Sebastian Izzard LLC participated in JADA's fourth joint exhibition at the Fletcher-Sinclair Mansion/Ukrainian Institute, 2 East 79th Street, New York during Asia Week, March 19-23, 2011. JADA 2011: An Exhibition by the Japanese Art Dealers Association presented works of art of the highest quality in keeping with JADA's mission to promote high standards of scholarship and connoisseurship in the field of pre-modern Japanese art. Highlights included a recently discovered painting of a beauty by Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849) and a rare Kakiemon porcelain figure of a seated beauty. London Gallery, Ltd. Tokyo held their Asia Week exhibition at Sebastian Izzard LLC. Forms Unbound: A Selection of Japanese Ceramics from the Jomon to Momoyama Periods featured works that span well over one thousand years of history, from pottery and dogu heads of the Jomon period, to Heian and Kamakura period vessels, along with several examples from the late 16th/early 17th century.
