Sebastian Izzard LLC Asian Art participated in "Arts of Japan: An Exhibition by the Japanese Art Dealers Association," during Asia Week in New York. This was the organization's second show at the Ukrainian Institute/Fletcher-Sinclair Mansion, and took place March 15-17, 2009. The six member dealers offered a superb selection of Japanese art spanning eight centuries. Sebastian Izzard showed an exceptionally fine impression of Hokusai's masterpiece South Wind, Clear Dawn (Gaifu kaisei) from the Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji series. Paintings by Kano Tanshin (1653-1718), Kobayashi Kiyochika (1847-1915), Shibata Zeshin (1807-1891), and Kawanabe Kyosai (1831-1889) along with works from the Ukiyo-e School were included. Tea ceramics and Japanese textiles were also featured. For more information on this exhibition, please go to www.JADA-NY.org.
